MIS, Ratnagiri is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and duly recognized by the Department of Education, Maharashtra.
The academic year commences in April. Learning is experiential, fun, and activity-based, where the child is an active participant. Pedagogical processes focus on developmentally appropriate methods.
Focuses on personal, social, and emotional well-being. The curriculum promotes positive attitudes, language enhancement, and communication skills. It supports experiential learning and conceptual clarity.
CCE scheme by CBSE & NCERT is followed.
To encourage students to participate wholeheartedly and nurture true sportsmanship, MIS follows a structured House System. It is an inclusive programme that builds leadership, responsibility, and a sense of real-life awareness and community welfare. Every child is assigned to a house and is encouraged to participate proactively in school processes and in competitions of their choice.
Each child belongs to a house and takes part in a wide range of activities. Every house has a Captain, Vice-Captain, and House Prefects who support the House Master / Mistress in maintaining discipline and organising activities and functions.
Based on inter-house performances, teams are selected to represent MIS in inter-school competitions, where our students perform strongly and bring laurels to the school. Alongside this, clubs and hobby periods help students refine skills in the activity of their choice.
As part of holistic development, the curriculum includes dedicated time for activities students enjoy while learning. Each section has a CLUB period; students of Classes VI to VIII opt for a club from a variety of options. Teachers guide and mentor the students, and for Classes I to VIII, a hobby period is also provided so children can develop a skill of their choice.

Admission for Classes U.K.G. to XII (Offline / Online)
Original Birth Certificate from Panchayat / Municipal Committee / Corporation.
Latest family photo (Father, Mother, Ward) & 3 passport size photos of the ward.
Photocopy of the child’s as well as parent’s Aadhar Card.
Electricity Bill/Gas Connection, Medical Report & Previous Class Progress Card.
Admission will be purely on the basis of marks obtained at the Secondary School Level of CBSE / State Board.
Subject to availability of seats. Admission to all other classes will be granted on the basis of a written test.
Students migrating from other states must submit Transfer Certificate, Migration Certificate, and Progress Report Card from previous school.
